Yogi came to me as a 5 month old puppy. Undefeated for Baby Puppy In Show, even then you knew he was destined for great things. He was a dream to show and never put a foot wrong. (well maybe once. The famous dummy spit, Melb Royal 2001. )

He retired on over 1600 points which is quite a feat when you consider that for the first two years of his show career the old points system was in place when you didn't get extra points for Best Of Breed. Just Challenge points.

A charming man with an air of arrogance he is a gentleman by any measure. Clean, quite, faithfull, loving and very loyal, Yogi was and is, a real pleasure to have around.

Yogi is now 13 and has earnt his household title of 'Worthy Oriental Gentleman'. Ruled only by his love of food and a sunny spot to spend his days he uses the right to be a grumpy old man occasionally.

A once in a lifetime dog not just because of his show results but for the lovely Shiba Inu that he is and has always been.

Exhibited at 18 Royals in his career he has 10 'Royal' Best Of Breeds and 2 RU Best of Breeds, these include Adelaide, Melbourne, Canberra, Sydney and Brisbane.


Now showing in the occasional Veteren Sweepstakes he still has his elegant and stylish ways.


Yogi was the right hand man to my Siberian Husky 'Jazz' for 8 years until she passed away in 2006
